95,041 kg of Recyclable Materials: 2025 Results of the “KOLOROVI BAKY” Collection Point

The Power of a United Community

In 2025, the “KOLOROVI BAKY” recyclable materials collection point achieved a total of 95,041 kilograms of sorted waste.

The past year clearly demonstrated the strength of conscious community engagement. Throughout the year, 95,041 kilograms of recyclable materials were collected and transferred for proper treatment. This result proves that environmental protection can work effectively not only at the policy level, but also through everyday actions.

Paper and Cardboard: Giving Packaging a Second Life

Paper waste made up the largest share of collected materials. More than 47 tonnes of pressed cardboard were collected, along with an additional 4,260 kilograms of paper waste. As a result, a significant amount of packaging materials avoided landfills and re-entered the recycling cycle.

Glass: Consistently Strong Results

Glass collection also played an important role in the overall annual outcome. Over 13 tonnes of clear glass and nearly 7 tonnes of coloured glass were collected. In addition, the separate collection of returnable 0.5-litre glass bottles provided almost 12 tonnes of glass, demonstrating that responsible handling of packaging is becoming an integral part of everyday habits.

Plastic: A Valuable Resource When Properly Sorted

Notable results were achieved in the collection of plastic waste as well. PET bottles, HDPE packaging and various types of polyethylene film together accounted for more than 10 tonnes of plastics. When properly sorted, these materials become valuable secondary raw materials rather than environmental pollutants.

Metal: Saving Resources and Energy

Metal waste, including aluminium beverage cans, was another important component of the collection system. More than 1 tonne of aluminium was collected during the year. Aluminium recycling is particularly valuable, as it significantly reduces the consumption of primary raw materials and energy.

More Than Numbers: A Real Environmental Impact

The true value of the 95,041 kilograms collected lies beyond statistics. It represents a tangible reduction in uncontrolled waste entering the environment and a corresponding increase in materials preserved for recycling. These results are the outcome of conscious decisions made by residents, institutions and partners involved in the “KOLOROVI BAKY” collection system.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The 2025 results also serve as a foundation for future progress. In 2026, the organisation will continue to develop and promote separate household waste collection. Educational activities for residents and schoolchildren will remain a top priority, as awareness and daily practice are key to long-term environmental responsibility.

Acknowledging Our Partners

These achievements would not have been possible without both the dedication of the community and the support of partners who believe in the mission of the “KOLOROVI BAKY” Environmental Movement. We sincerely thank Call-Action, as well as DIAGEO and PET Kupa, for their professional, organisational and financial support. This collaboration proves that meaningful change emerges when civil society initiatives, businesses and specialised organisations work together toward a shared goal.

Let’s continue sorting responsibly together in 2026!
