Protecting Nature Starts with Small Steps: Plastic Recycling and the Value of Bottle Caps

Recently, a team of lecturers visited the Milan Šašik Development Academy, where they discussed the importance of protecting nature, sorting waste, and recycling plastic.
The participants actively joined the discussions, asked questions, and listened with interest to how waste can get a second life and be transformed into new, useful products. The children were especially fascinated by information about plastic recycling and creating various items from it – from stationery to outdoor furniture, benches, and even boats. The lecturers also emphasized that bottle caps are a valuable resource: by collecting and recycling them, something new and useful can be made.
Teaching children these principles is especially important, as they will grow up in the world we are shaping today. Every saved bottle, every sorted bag or cap is a contribution to a cleaner planet and the future of the next generations.
